Roast-It-Notes

\Today I heard a pitch for a games project that I am really excited for. The game is called 'Roast-It-Notes' and is based off the experience of living in a student share-house, most noticeably the lack of hygiene standards and the high levels of passive aggression that only a house of young people will bring. The player can navigate around a kitchen, using the appliances and wreaking havoc as they create a mess that they will leave for some other housemate to clear up. Players can also leave post-it-notes as a way of communicating with other members of the house. Obviously the pitch for this game was quite hilarious and it immediately drew me to the game.

My Role

As an audio collaborator, my role in this project is to help supply all the sounds in the game. This includes lots of kitchen foley sounds, such as cutlery, pots, pans, and appliances. The main audio aspect of this game however is a radio, which will be in the kitchen and will be on constantly throughout the game. The radio acts as a background noise during gameplay so that the player has something to listen to. We intend to make this aspect quite humorous and plan to write a script in a "breakfast show" style with funny and entertaining content.

I am so excited to start on this project - it sounds like heaps of fun and is with a cool bunch of people!
