For the past few weeks, a few students and I have been thinking about the effects of Globalisation and cultural diversity on Australian society. We were interested in the juxtaposition between the carefree and welcoming attitudes that Australians are known for - especially towards tourists & foreign visitors - and the low levels of tolerance that we, our friends, and family members have had personal experience with being a child of mixed heritage.  

 

The following is a series of posters that aim to academically assess the levels of tolerance that Australian society has towards the "other", through the lenses of the Media, the Mainstream, and the Class System.​
