Roast-It-Notes: Post Mortem

Roast-It-Notes is finally here and wrapped! This project has been such a blast to be a part of and I am so excited to share the finished product. If you would like to find the itch.io page for this game please click here (Windows build only).

Out of everything I've worked on, this project has been the one that I have been most involved with by far. It has been so rewarding to feel like I'm part of a team and see ideas that we have all discussed together end up in the final version of the game. It was also lovely that we were all communicative with each other - getting daily updates from everyone else in the team just gave you more motivation to work harder and get stuff done.

With that being said, it wasn't all sunshine all the time, and the last fortnight before the deadline pushed us all - from creative ideas, to time management, and personal skill.

But we got through it! And that was thanks to constant communication between the games team and the audio team.

This project taught me a lot about my passions and where my interests are aligned. I really enjoyed creating something that I cared about - moments where we put so much thought into how to make something funny, and then going into the studio and actually laughing at the script when it was performed - I loved it.

I started this degree wanting to do music production for film, but now these guys have totally turned me on my head (thanks guys). Who knows, maybe I'll chase a degree in games audio? :)
